The Light Church launched on Easter Sunday 2025. We meet at 10am on Sunday mornings at St Bart’s Primary Academy in Royal Wootton Bassett with coffee beforehand. Everyone is welcome. We sing together, pray and hear from God’s Word, the Bible. You don’t have to be a Christian to come - everyone is welcome every week. You can join in with the bits you are comfortable with or just sit & soak up the atmosphere. We are made up of people of all ages, working out what it looks like to follow Jesus today.

If you are curious about faith or wondering about church, come & visit us. We’d love to meet you. Children & young people are always welcome and a really important part of our church community. You don’t need any background knowledge or experience of church to come along - just come as you are.

Our story

The Light Church is part of the Church of England and was planted in April 2025 by Pattern Church in collaboration with the Diocese of Salisbury . We’ve been commissioned by the Diocese to serve the whole of Calne Deanery, which is made up of Royal Wootton Bassett, Lyneham, Calne and the villages in between. We love the Bible and making space for the Holy Spirit to work in us, as well as worshipping and praying together.
